Here are some things you can expect on my blog in 2006!
1. "Give us this day our daily blog!" In this section, I will have a daily devotional thought, leadership principle, quote or a funny story to start you day.
2. Leaders are Readers - in this section, I will share book titles, excerpts and commentary from my vigorous book reading schedule.
3. Family Updates - in this section, I will share personal updates with friends and family who are near and far. It has already been a great tool for folks who could not be here for the birth of my son. My blog put them on the scene...up close...so I'll continue to leave updates - and get to brag which comes natural! =)
4. Love Cat - (since I'm a love cat) in this section, I will celebrate and highlight fellow bloggers hopefully getting my readership (my mom, wife) to explore other great blogs. =)
5. Socratic Methodology - in this section, I will ask questions and encourage discussion. This is my teaching method of choice - I'd rather ask than tell...as a passionate communicator it is my ultimate objective to create an appetite for learning...thus the title of my blog. It is my conviction that people have become mentally lazy and prefer to hear (sermon, idea etc) from another as opposed to thinking and coming to conclusions for themselves - and in the process exercising the brain muscle - love the Lord with all you heart, soul...and mind! Paul praised the Bereans for going back and searching the scriptures. He wasn't threatened by their action but in fact celebrated the Bereans effort.
6. Doing Life Together - in this section, I will share stuff and invite anyone for the ride...I'm good by myself, better with others!
7. The Writer - in this section, I will post writings I hope to publish one day - for critique and scrunity...more on this one later!
Happy New Year!
Respectfully,
Ralph

Ambitious agenda for 2006, but happened to the Blogcyclopedia?
Jeremy
thinking out loud...
I would love to see a "blogging, technology component added to next years ye conference or the coalition could hold the first "blogging conference" or a technology/youth symposium...where we can share the myspace stuff, the cyberchurch etc...if people slept five years ago when you first raised the issue chances are they are still sleeping...In my little time blogging I was shocked to find 100 plus in our church with my space accounts. I'm a little embarrased to say I've connected more with some of young people because I met them where they were - "on-line"...let get this out and see what other folks are thiking?
Ralph
