Give honor where it is due.

I recently participated in an interview where I was asked about fellow alum, friend and ministry partner Jeremy Delrio.

"He's providing a safe haven for kids," said NYU classmate Ralph Castillo, associate director of Youth Explosion at Christ Tabernacle in Queens. "These are latchkey kids. They're helping with academics in an area where the academics are the worst around. God only knows what kind of impact that's having."

"The kids listen to (Jeremy)," Castillo said. "He's from the ‘hood' and had the opportunity to not allow his future to be determined by his existence. He knows what it's like to struggle. He knows in the summer there isn't much to do."
