Less Is More

If you are like me the New Year brings innate excitement and motivation increasing my desire to do more - more at home, more at work, more with young people, more with friends and the list goes on. I came across a quote in my reading:
"Devoting a little of yourself to everything means committing a great deal of yourself to nothing." Andy Stanley
I'm sure you've heard the adage "less is more". Before you think that's a cover up for laziness or an excuse simply not to do more...consider the impact you can have when you focus on what's ultimately most important in your life, home, career, or church.

"Now when the time was almost come for Jesus to be received up to heaven, He steadfastly and determinedly set His face to go to Jerusalem." Luke 9:51

"It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the Word of God in order to wait on tables." Acts 6:2

Both Jesus and his disciples were unapologetically clear in their focus and dertermination to stay the course and fufill their purpose. What about you? Are you all over the place - jack of all trades, master of none? May I encourage you to narrow your focus and consider doing less...you'll end up doing more.

If you enjoy my blog, leave a tip - actually a comment will do!
